Eagle Scout Projects

One of the missions of the EHTEC is to work with our community's young people.  Accordingly, we have offered the Arboretum and Nature Center as a site for projects required to obtain the Eagle Scout ranking.

Completed Projects

2008 - Adam Stroz prepared the Eagle Point Rest Area, donated and installed three benches, marked the trails with mile markers and identified trees with signage.

2009 - David Barkoff built a staircase to the trail which takes you around the park.

2009 - Tim Walsh built and installed a locking bulletin board for the pavilion.  He added a water resistant box for flyers.

2010 - Drew Barkoff constructed a bird creek and orienteering course.

2010 - Glenn McHugh II constructed several benches at the Meditation Garden, the Eagle Point Rest Area and Lake View.

2015 - Dalton Scheeler constructed a rain garden

2017 - Ryan Rybka installed a flag pole with solar lighting
